臨時墾丁

This trip is called <臨時墾丁> for a reason.....
The plan began to form on our way home from a dinner party with some friends. One of our friends, Angela (the second one from the left), was very restless and she still wants to go out and have fun. Out of the blue, this little lady suddenly shouted out, "I KNOW!!! LET'S GO TO KENTING AND WATCH THE SUNRISE!" Everybody was so surprise with her outburst and looked at her like she's out of her mind (well, you can't blame us right?!?)... We also asked her if she is sure... its already almost midnight and since we are living in the university dorm, we have to be in no later than 1:00 in the morning. She keeps on saying she's very sure... and she also said: "Don't you see? Now is the right moment, with the right people and the right feeling. Who knows when will we be this crazy again?!? When we get old, we will always remember this crazy trip. Let's live life to the fullest. Right here, right now!"
We continue discussing for a few more minutes and everyone got caught with the excitement. We then decide to GO!!!
We all went back to our dorm rooms (Angela, Megan (my sister in Taiwan) and I) to prepare and get the stuff we need. Uncle and Kelly also went home to get their stuff. We plan to meet outside our dorm at 1:00 AM.
During the ride to Kenting, everyone was so excited... Uncle played a song of the Backstreet Boys, Larger Than Life, which really fits the mood.
It was almost 4 AM when we arrived at Heng Chun to see the sunrise. When we started seeing the rays of the sun, we started walking toward the direction of the sea. There were actually a lot of people. It was my first time to see the sunrise this way and I will never forget it. It was so beautiful. Seeing the sun rising slowly makes me look forward to the future. It actually gave me a sense of security. It felt like the sun is saying "Today is a new day. Do whatever you like, no planning just go with the flow. I got your back". Well, I really did experience a lot of "first" during this trip. First time to go on a trip on an impulse... first time to see the sunrise (I usually sleep through it)... first time to ride the banana boat and join other water activities. It was great!!! I will really remember this trip as long as I live. It was fun fun fun! We really have to thank Angela for this trip. If it weren't for her craziness, we might not have this memorable trip. Thanks Angela. It was great too that it was the five of us who went to this trip... I'm not sure if the feeling will also be the same if it is not the five of us, Angela, Megan, Kelly, Uncle and I, who went. Thanks you guys! You guys made the whole trip memorable.
